Student Assistance Program (SAP)

The Substance Use Prevention Program of MYCS is to brings greater awareness to the community about the effects of substance use while providing up-to-date information on current health issues. The prevention program also provides educational programs in schools and throughout the community to enhance protective factors and reduce risk factors. These include but are not limited to:

  • Community events
  • MYCS Summer Camp
    • LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF (ANGER MANAGEMENT, STRESS MANAGEMENT, FRIENDSHIP, SELF-ESTEEM ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS)
    • ENJOY FIELD TRIPS WEEKLY, FIELD TRIPS MAY VARY
    • BUILD NEW FRIENDSHIPS
    • AGE: 7-12 (BOYS & GIRLS)
  • Classroom Presentations for schools
  • Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug resource information
  • School Health Fairs
