Our Master’s level clinical staff provide supportive and goal-oriented therapy for children ages 5-17, as well as families. Outpatient services can be at the McKeesport office or at a school that has a satellite office through MYCS. Please call for the most recent list of school collaborations. Individual, family, and group therapy have been proven to improve a student’s ability to succeed.
Therapists work with children and families on several issues such as, depression, behavior problems at home and/or school, ADHD, anxiety, social skills, self-injury, grief and loss, and trauma.
Group therapy is offered throughout the year. Some groups include, Building Self-Esteem, Anger Management, Coping with Depression, Anxiety, Managing Strong Emotions, Social Skills, and more…
The first appointment will include an intake and clinical assessment so that you can provide the valuable information needed to develop meaningful goals. The child will meet with the therapist as needed, ranging from weekly to monthly, with or without the guardian/family depending on the needs of the child and family. We strongly encouraged to have the family involved in the child’s sessions. After you have started services, and are interested in medication for your child, you can schedule a psychiatric evaluation at the McKeesport office.
